On the morality of shaving

I once knew a girl who refused to shave her armpits.
she said it was natural, so why should she shave?

crap.

beards are natural; so are moustaches.
why do men shave them?
(and yet, not their eyebrows?)

for that matter, are not the hairs on that girl's head natural?
why then does she have them cut regularly?

the bottom line is, when we want to do something—or avoid doing something—we can come up with pretty lofty reasons to excuse ourselves.
